Step 1 - Finding Your Inspiration

It all starts here, we have created our website to give you an insight as to what we can offer, from modern contemporary to traditional and simplistic. Browsing through our many ranges will help you make that first decision as to what route you would like to go down.

Step 2 - First Meeting

Our showroom is designed to suit you, if you aren’t able to make our opening times, we are more than happy to welcome you to Malthouse Kitchens at a time that’s right for you, be it late evenings or early mornings. Enjoy a coffee with us as we walk you around our different displays as we establish the right kitchen for your home. We have a small display section that can be changed in situ allowing us to pair our wide range of sample doors to our many samples of worktop, giving you the opportunity to get creative. Once you’ve decided what sort of kitchen is for you, we can progress onto the next step!

Step 3 - The Design Process

This is where it gets exciting, Lewis will arrange to come to your home to measure the dimensions of your room and get a feel for the space. Once he has gathered all the necessary information, we can get to work on providing you with a 3D digital perspective of your new kitchen. We pride ourselves on creating bespoke designs that are customised to each client's wants and needs, creating custom sized units that better suit the the dimensions of the room. It’s imperative to us that we use the space to its best advantage that not only looks great but serves as a practical room to call the heart of your home.

Step 4 - Placing Your Order

At this point we ask for a 50% deposit based on your finalised design quote. Our cabinets are made locally and independently, meaning there are no long waiting times for orders. This helps us to be a lot more flexible in choosing the right time for your project.

Step 5 - Preparations

Any necessary discussions with architects or trades people happens at this stage. Working to our plans we can offer you a full service, removing and responsibly of disposing of your old kitchen, performing any electrical or plumbing alterations for your new kitchen, plastering, painting or tiling as you need it. Having the same team oversee the whole project ensures there are no delays to the starting date of your kitchen.

Step 6 - Quality Assurance

Before your kitchen is delivered, we do the final finishes to your cabinets in our workshop, behind the showroom. Hanging all the doors and fixings ourselves to ensure everything is done to our standards and expectations prior to your installation. This is also where we create any bespoke items that cannot be done through our suppliers.

Step 7 - Installation

We will arrive at your address on the planned installation date, having passed the QA on the cabinets, we will commence with the installation. As well as being with you during the designing process, Steve and Sam will also carry out the installation. We set up our own kitchen show room and take care of you throughout the whole process, from ideation to installation. In doing this we cut out several potential layers of the middleman. It's a smoother, more cost-effective and quicker experience for us and for you.

Step 8 - Final Stages

Your kitchen is installed typically within five days, depending on size and complexity of the design. Should you choose stone or granite worktops you should expect it to take an extra five working days to allow for the templating/manufacture of the worktops.

Step 9 - Completion

At this stage, the worktops are in place and this is when the final electrical and plumbing connections are made. We will then undergo a thorough snag check over your kitchen and finalise any finishing touches.

Step 10 - Handover

Once we’re satisfied then it’s yours to enjoy!
